bretforton sports club to host charity event

The Sports Club are to host a charity event to raise funds for two cancer charities on the 7th March at 7.30pm. The event will comprise a "Pink" Tribute night with music by Vicky as the great singer herself.
This promises to be a really good night with all welcome. The ticket price of £12 includes a bite to eat as well as a great nights entertainment and all in aid of two good cause, Ovarian Cancer and Prostrate Cancer. The league season has now come to a end.
Great news for Bretforton 1`s as they win the league and get promotion up into the next league North Div 1. For next season. The 2`s had a diffiucult season but do stay in Severn 2 for next season. We also have some fun stuff going on over the Summer… -June start – we have entered a Over 50`s side in a National Competition. 15th June – hockey club awards day/night. July-August – we are holding a 7 aside fun Summer league new players, back to hockey players, juniors all are welcome. 10th August – fun day out – fancy dress pub bike crawl around the villages – this is an annual event and in its 8th year. 4th Sept – registration evening at Bret sports club – new and current players invited along to kick off the next season. Date TBC – fundraising quiz night at Bret sports club. |

Congratulations to The Bretforton Pool Team. Winning the final and therefore the cup.
Congratulations to The Bretforton Cribbage team lead by Captain Sandra Halliwell. The team won the final 5 to 4 on the last hand. Also in the team were Chris Halliwel, Tony Shilham, Bob Ashby, Lea Partle and John Byrd.

Father Christmas to make an appearance at the sports club

On Saturday the 22nd of December there will be a guest appearance from the Big Man in Red as well as a party for the Children. The fun starts at 5pm and it is open to members and non-members alike. The cost will be £3 per child (members are free) to include a present from Santo.
This will be a great way to start Christmas for all the children with a disco, food and party games - What's not to like!! There's even a disco for the Adults afterwards. You must book so get along to Sports club on Station road now!! So this is what the girls get up to!!
Bretforton Sports Club ladies present "Calendar Girls" 2019. They have created a calendar girls inspired calendar with all proceeds going to Evesham Macmillan. The calendars are £10 each and can be purchased from Jane Jones or emailing lindseylu30@hotmail.com |

Sports Club:
The Sports Club is open to all for a small membership fee. This entitles members to use the club facilities including outside the Bar opening hours for private events. Bar opening times: Weekdays from 7.30pm Saturday and Sunday from noon. The Management Committee is responsible for maintaining the recreation ground in a good condition for team sports and the up-keep of the Club building including changing rooms, kitchen and bar. The Club facilities and pitches are available for other bodies to use, subject to Club Teams not requiring them, and approved by the Management Committee. The Committee would suggest a donation for the facilities use i.e. to cover cost of marking out the football pitch and cleaning the changing rooms. |
Recreation Ground:
The Recreation Ground is open 24/7 365 days a year to the General Public. The Parish Council has ruled ‘No Dogs’ to prevent the football/cricket pitches being fouled and ‘No ball games’ so the pitches are not cut by games such as golf practice. The Parish Council is responsible for the children’s play area and equipment. Please Note: Membership of Bretforton Sports Club is not compulsory and everyone is welcome to use the club at any time, but it pays to be a member as you get a members discount everytime at the till when you card is swiped. The Club is open at 6pm on a Friday. |
